Is The Legendary Marketer System a Scam? Review of Dave Sharpe’s Program

The Legendary Marketer system has been put together by a guy named Dave Sharpe & it claims it can help you achieve what he calls the “legendary lifestyle” which basically consists of time, money & location freedom…
It certainly sounds the part, I mean who wouldn’t want those things? But is it actually legit & will it deliver on it’s promises or is the Legendary Marketer system a scam that’ll just see you parted from your hard earned cash?
Thankfully you’ve landed in exactly the right place to find out because I’ve took a closer look into this system to see what it’s all about & in this review I’m going to be uncovering everything there is you need to know, including whether or not you can really make money with it. 🙂
What Exactly Is The Legendary Marketer System?
As I briefly touched on above the Legendary Marketer system is a program that’s been put together with the alleged aim of helping you make lot’s of money online & ultimately achieving an overall better lifestyle…
Now the guy behind is a guy named Dave Sharpe, and the first thing that I want to point out is that he’s definitely a real person (not an actor). He’s actually quite well known in the online marketing space, largely due to the fact that he is the former co-founder of a company named Empower Network.
Empower Network was a HUGE company that promised similar things to Dave’s new Legendary Marketer system. Some people who got involved with EN did make money (and lot’s of it) but most actually lost money & many branded it as nothing but a flat-out pyramid scheme…
Regardless though, Empower Network went bankrupt & shut down in 2017. This was a huge shock to many in the online marketing industry due to the fact that the company was turning over hundreds of millions prior to this – but with it’s controversial business model this news of it finally shutting down was a delight to many too.
Anyway – our guy Dave Sharpe actually left before all this happened he claimed (as shown below) that his & his parter’s (David Wood) visions became different:
And he went on to set up his own program named Duplicate Dave which to be honest, basically followed the same structure as Empower Network. You signed up to it to learn how to make money online, bought all the products & then found out that the way you actually made money with it was just by selling it onto other people promising they could make money with it…
It’s a business model that’s technically legit (kinda) – but certainly not one that I’m a fan of & that’s why I chose not to recommend Dave Sharpe’s Duplicate Dave program in my review.
So how does all this fit in with the Legendary Marketer you’re probably wondering…
Well basically Dave Sharpe calls himself The Legendary Marketer, and this is his latest program – but as far as I’m concerned it’s just a re-hashed version of his other program named Duplicate Dave because they both work in pretty much the exact same way.
It seems to me that he’s just created an “alternate version” if you like to target a different audience… After all he is the legendary marketer remember LOL.
So if you know how Empower Network or Duplicate Dave worked, then right off the bat you should know that the Legendary Marketer is very similar in terms of it’s business model & how it all works.

How Does The Legendary Marketer System Work?
Okay so I will go into depth here about all the products associated with the system & the compensation plan that’s involved but before I do that I want to give you a very quick overview as to how it actually works, because I know that this business model won’t be for everybody (it certainly isn’t for me)…
So ultimately the Legendary Marketer system promises that it will teach you how to make money by marketing products online, and inside of the program there are indeed several educational products which teach you various aspects of marketing…
However you’re told that you’ll also get access to “done-for-you” stuff so that you can start profiting online really quickly & easily… But sadly this bit isn’t quite so true (at least not quite how it’s made out anyway).
The reality here is that you’ll be basically signing up to the Legendary Marketer system in the hope of learning how to build an income online – but you’ll find out that what you’re actually learning about is how to promote the Legendary Marketer system onto other people… Because that’s what you’ll be pushed towards doing.
And unless you physically purchase the products yourself, you won’t be able to make money by reselling them – because you can only earn commissions by reselling the products you actually own. If you don’t own them & somebody purchases them as a result of signing up via your link then the commissions you should have earned will get passed up to the next person above you that’s qualified instead.
In short it looks like this:
- You sign up to the Legendary Marketer system because you want to learn how to make money
- You find out that the way you make money is by reselling the Legendary Marketer system onto other people
- You realize that you must purchase the products yourself if you want to earn commissions on them
On top of that the products are VERY expensive as you’ll soon see, and personally I believe they’ve been priced with commissions in mind rather than value because honestly in my opinion these products are not worth the cost. You can actually get the same information for free elsewhere, like at Wealthy Affiliate for example.
The Legendary Marketer Products
Okay so the most very basic product is the Legendary Marketers Club which costs $30 monthly – if you want to get started with the Legendary Marketer system then this is a requirement because this is the core of the program.
The Legendary Marketers Club gives you a basic overview of the whole thing, how you make money & then shows you very basic marketing techniques such as promoting on YouTube & Facebook using paid advertising. You’re also taught about lead generation & the importance of collecting contact details so that you can follow up with people to convince them to sign up if they don’t do so off the bat.
The truth is that with this product alone you’re not really going to get very far – and to be honest if you do go ahead & follow the methods taught in the Legendary Marketers Club then the likelihood is that you will see yourself losing a lot of money rather than making it. The reason for that is because paid advertising consists of a lot of trial & error, there’s just no way you’ll get it right off the bat & in my opinion it’s definitely not the right marketing method for a beginner to start with.
So on come the upsells…
As I said above, you’ll get access to the Legendary Marketers Club & you’ll realize that there’s not really enough info to get started, but of course Dave claims to have the answer, only it comes with additional costs…

- Product #4: Legendary Leader Masterclass – $5,000 (one-time)
- Product #5: Legendary Marketer Mastermind – $8,000 (one-time)
- Product #6: Legendary Entrepreneur Mastermind – $12,000 (one-time)
- Product #7: Legendary Lifestyle Experience – $30,000!! (one-time)
As you can see you are going to be spending a LOT of money with this program, and remember what I said above? Since you can only earn commissions on the products you personally own this is all money you’re going to have to invest before you can even start thinking about actually making money back…
Do these products contain value for money? In my opinion NO – as far as I’m concerned there are much better, cheaper, more productive things you could be doing with your business than spending tens of thousands to attend live events from which you’re probably going to take away very little.
I firmly believe that these products have been priced purely with commissions in mind, because obviously the more expensive the products are the more Dave & the other people promoting his program can earn by reselling them – which brings me onto…

The Legendary Marketer Compensation Plan
So, as you’re probably well aware of by now the whole story here is that the way you make money is actually by reselling the Legendary Marketer system onto other people & getting them to buy into it just like you did…
But also remember that you’re not going to make any money on the product sales unless you’ve personally purchased them yourself. This introduces a lot of risk because there’s no guarantee you’ll earn anything back if you do happen to invest (which I don’t recommend doing).
Anyway, let’s say you’re living life on the edge & you’re going to throw $50,000+ away at something like this knowing that you’ll likely lose it…
You’ll earn 60% commissions on the sales of the Legendary Marketers Club & Traffic Rolodox products.
And on all of the other products you’ll get a 40% commission instead.
You might think that sounds fairly good & that you’ll be able to make a fair bit of money by promoting this system, but let me point out one sentence from their income disclaimer that will quickly change your mind:
The average annual gross income for Affiliates is projected to be between $500 and $2,000 based upon industry standards and company projections.
Not good right?
And based on what I’ve seen with other similar programs such as the Digital Altitude scam& MOBE the reality is that income figure when it’s actually released is probably going to be much, much lower.
Most people who buy into these things spend money & never even make a penny back…
Those that do make money rarely even make enough to recoup their initial investment.

My Verdict – Is The Legendary Marketer a Scam?
Well it’s not a scam as such since there is the possibility (albeit very, very slim) that you’ll be able to make money with it, but the reality is if you buy into this program you’re going to lose money not make it.
Whilst the program claims to have been designed to help newbies get started online as far as I’m concerned the real reason it has built is to that the gurus can promote it & take advantage of newbies by getting them to pay extortionate fees whilst earning huge commissions at their expense.
When there are similar (and in my opinion better) programs that you can get started with for free such as Wealthy Affiliate I just don’t really see any reason at all to sign up to something like the Legendary Marketer system. The high level of investment just makes the whole thing way too risky.
So overall it’s safe to say I’m not going to be recommending Dave Sharpe’s Legendary Marketer program to you – instead I’ll be doing the opposite and advising that you avoid it because if you don’t you’ll likely lose money.
